I am using lb config --mode debian to create Ubuntu live system. I knew it's not normal but it solved one issue when I was using live-build v3 long time ago. Therefore I have to use the option --parent-mirror-binary-updates to assign the utopic-updates or vivid-updates repository. Without "--parent-mirror-binary-updates", it will use the that from Debian repository, like deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ utopic-updates main univese Apparently you can see the above line does not make sense. Anyway, my case is really unusual. Although it's more flexible to have "--parent-mirror-binary-updates", yet I believe you could ignore that. Thanks.
