Removal of vmdebootstrap ?

Someone just pointed me to

today, requesting the removal of vmdebootstrap.  I see this is still a 
dependency
for live-wrapper in both stretch and buster.  I hope those of you more tuned 
into
development world (than I) already know about this ?  I hadn't seen any mention
of it on this list up to now.  Thanks.
