Also, what kernel version did you run?
I use ajs patches from http://people.debian.org/~ajt/lsb plus one
special patch grouping.dpatch for platforms with unsigned char as
default. I have put them to
http://people.debian.org/~gt/lsb/patches/woody/glibc/ . I ran kernel
2.4.19 .
