Hello everyone,

Here are the notes from today's LTS meeting:

- Roll Call
  + 2025 Meeting Schedule (roberto)
  + Meeting list: https://lts-team.pages.debian.net/wiki/Meetings.html
  + ICS:
https://lts-team.pages.debian.net/_downloads/b203e04c1a4f14edf623b7508a8253fd/2025.ics
+ Additional note: As with 2024, the December meeting is 1 week early to
avoid conflicting with Christmas
- Request: status update of [1] (Beuc)
+ [1] "Can I also provide security updates for non-LTS releases?"
https://freexian.gitlab.io/services/deblts-team/documentation/lts/information-for-lts-contributors.html#can-i-also-provide-security-updates-for-non-lts-releases
+ But from debian-lts this month: <<we began shifting from "help out with
stable if you feel so inclined and if the package version is the same" to "help
out with stable should be the default on every package update where it is
possible.>> [2]
  + [2] https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts/2024/12/msg00039.html
+ Do we need to formalize this "shift" for the team? (I'm a bit lost on when
that happened)
+ Since we're planning to impact outside of our LTS perimeter, should we
request Debian feedback first, e.g. on [email protected], typically would
Debian welcome LTS as a kind of funded, glmobal "Security QA" team, or find
this too intrusive (in particular when this concerns many low-severity issues
XSS/UBSAN/etc.)?
+ Action: Beuc to create one or more issues in lts-team/lts-extra-tasks with
suggestions/descriptions of what to document
- Request: Status of communication attempts with ftp-masters wrt. weeks of
delays when launching bullseye-lts, then not answering any ping from santiago.
Incidentally, buster/updates still not moved to security archive
http://archive.debian.org/debian-security/dists/ (Beuc)
+ Status: Santiago has reached out to the FTP team about what happened and
how to improve the transition for the next time, but no response yet; he will
ping again
- ELTS autopkgtests: arm64 work, armhf being worked on as inucs-lxc, LTS
autopkgtests shall use Debusine eventually
+ Action: Helmut to ensure this is documented for LTS use
- AOB
  + None
- Next meeting: 2025-01-23 14:00 UTC [Location: #debian-lts on IRC]
