Hello everyone, Here’s my monthly report for the work I’ve done for Debian LTS and ELTS in January 2026.
Thanks to Freexian and sponsors for making this possible: https://www.freexian.com/lts/debian/#sponsors LTS === I’ve spent most of my time this month on two series of security issues in python3.9. While working on the first batch on vulnerabilities, I hit an issue with testing my builds at Salsa: the environment in Salsa CI was subtly different compared to sbuild, causing unexpected test failures. Eventually I was able to resolve this and other issues, and just as I released the DLA, another series of vulnerabilities was published. After completing the work on python3.9, I proceeded with fixing the same issues in python3.11 in oldstable. I’ve still got some work to do on mbedtls. I worked on backporting the patches, but haven’t completed that work. I will get back to it as soon as I’ve dealt with the Python situation. ELTS ==== No work done this month. -- Cheers, Andrej
