Hello everyone,

Here are the notes from today's LTS team meeting.

In case you would like to see the full agenda, it is available here:
https://pad.riseup.net/p/lts-meeting-agenda

Agenda:
- Roll call
    - Present: Santiago, guilhem, Roberto, paride, Thorsten, Charles,
kanashiro, Helmut, Beuc, Faidon, Utkarsh, Jochen, Jeremy
    - Apologies rouca, lamby, Tobi
- New team members:
    - No new team members since last month
- Departing team members:
    - Roberto
        - Delivered an inspiring farewall speech after 9.5 years
        - Santiago to be now the sole LTS Coordinator; tasks will be
shared among several team members, however
    - Officially offboarded Sean and Arturo (inactive for several months)
- Action item review: (Santiago)
    - Action: (carried over from last month) Follow-up to ML and Andreas
      concerning upload of nvidia-graphics-drivers
        - Assignee: Santiago & Tobi
        - Result: No anwswer yet from Andreas; will carry over to next month
    - Action: (carried over from last month) Start a discussion about
      debian-security-support being installed by default
        - Assignee: jbicha / utkarsh
        - Result: No progress this month; public discussion required;
will carry over to next month
    - Action: allow setting autopkgtest_backend on elts upload workflows
        - Assignee: Helmut
        - Result: Helmut made the required changes on
debusine.freexian.com. It was already possible on
debusine.debian.net. (Some test and documentation is still
needed). Using the kvm backend results in arm64 jobs to become
eternally "pending". We need a better solution longer term and
that depends on changes to Debusine.
- New action items
    - (recorded during this meeting)
    - Action: (beuc/santiago) update the documentation concerning work
priorities and package queue management, to ensure we aren't using
scarce hours resources to work on landing packages that "don't
have any known user" (see related agenda item below for details)
- Debusine news: Regression testing is being tested and presently poses
scalability issues (running regression tests takes down the Debusine
  server)
    - Regression testing was tested live and it brought down the server
because of the size of the associated workflows
    - Colin is actively working on this
- Update autopkgtest in our infrastructure (rouca)
    - The Freexian IT team cannot provide this. We acknowledge that
ci.freexian.com cannot presently test updates of gcc-6. We suggest
running tests on debusine.freexian.com or debusine.debian.net.
Debusine is supposed to do regression testing before too long.
- Working on packages with no known user (santiago): to make better use
of our work-hours resource, we should avoid working on packages that
  don't have any known user.
    - This relates to the policy that we have of trying to ensure that
CVE fixes land first in (un)stable, and then work their way back
      to LTS
    - "Known users" does not necessarily mean "used by sponsors", but
could also include important packages w/ high popcon where LTS
team help would benefit the broader Debian community
- AOB
    - (none)
- Next meeting: 2026-03-26 14:00 UTC [Location: #debian-lts on IRC]
- MEETING APPENDIX: Discussion of technical questions/issues and reviews
    - [Charles] FD question: golang-refraction-networking-utls triaging,
go library with a CVE but no binary package built with it. Is it a
      case of <unimportant>?
        - <ignored> makes more sense. <unimportant> should be
          coordinated with security team

Thanks to everyone for participating!

Regards,
