Hi Steffen, Debhelper 7 is in Lenny, so only backports to oldstable, which are not supported in backports.org, are made more difficult. The difficulty is very moderate when not using debhelper7-only commands like dh_prep, like for r-cran-qvalue, as it is only a matter of downgrading the dependancy and the compatibility level. I prefer using the current stable Debhelper to be sure that the package builds fine with it and detect issues early in the release cycle. Of course, if we have user feedback against this, I am compeletely open to reconsider this or to work together on the backporting with users for whom it is an issue. Maybe we can put on our long TODO list to add a few words about backports on our website… Have a nice day, -- Charles _______________________________________________ debian-med-commit mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-med-commit
