 # Copy/Paste from https://www.cog-genomics.org/plink/1.9/

-15 Oct 2017: A2 allele is now consistently reference on chr3 in our 1000
Genomes phase 1 downloads. As a general rule, you shouldn't expect to keep
REF/ALT alleles straight with PLINK 1.x, but we tried to make A2 consistently
reference in these files and still didn't quite succeed; sorry about that.
+14 Nov 2017 (beta 5): --file + --merge{-list} bugfix. This bug was much more
likely to trigger if the first .map file was unsorted, but if you have the
chance we recommend redoing any --file + --merge and --file + --merge-list
multi-.ped merges performed with earlier plink 1.9 builds. (.bed merging was
unaffected, and --merge-list without --file was practically never affected.)
+
+3 Nov: --meta-analysis-snp-field and --meta-analysis-ess-field bugfixes.

+15 Oct: A2 allele is now consistently reference on chr3 in our 1000 Genomes
phase 1 downloads. As a general rule, you shouldn't expect to keep REF/ALT
alleles straight with PLINK 1.x, but we tried to make A2 consistently reference
in these files and still didn't quite succeed; sorry about that.
(Why was this discovered now, more than 2.5 years after the fact? Because
PLINK 2.0 now has a --ref-from-fa flag which can easily check for this type of
error.)

13 Oct: "--freq counts" no longer gives reversed results when alleles have
been flipped from the initial .bim/.bed order. Fixed --logistic bug that could
cause spurious NA results.
