I have an inbetween point of view, that is why the list is maintainer of all the packages I created. On the other hand, I agree with Andreas that team work is not limited to uploading packages. We could for instance list ourselves on a voluntary base on the DebianMed wiki page, or on the www page (sorry Tobbias), for instance, to underline the fact that there is a real active team. For the uploaders field, I think that the least work is to add oneself when uploading if one plans some other work in the future (otherwise NMU is enough). Keeping the uploaders field up to date in all the packages would be boring and error-prone in my opinion. In contrary to the GNOME packages, ours are not updated frequently, so autogenerating the uploaders field with a big list of people would not be effective.
