Dear Varun and Torsted, our policy in Debian-Med is to have DM-Upload-Allowed: yes by default in the control files. Since Varun is Uploader, he would be able to perform updates if he would become Debian maintainer (after a package with the DM-Upload-Allowed: yes field is uploaded to the Debian archive).
