Further hint. I did a lot in qiime packaging to fix #639389 and several
other stuff. The simplest way to fix the FTBFS bug was switching to
python2, but I used your trick from pynast to enable other helpers. I'd
be very happy if you could use our plain trunk for BioLinux now.
However, I now remember that debhelper 8 might cause trouble - I just
used my our default version. Sorry for that - feel free to downgrade
to debhelper 7 if needed.
