The variable: MAKELEVEL In the file: sr_unix/comlist.mk in line 48: ifeq ($(MAKELEVEL),2) that controls a section of code up to line 91. To address this, I'm now trying to patch the source code. So I read the section on patching: http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/modify.en.html#fixupstream for it, installed "dquilt". apt-get install quilt but... end up manually generated the patch and added it to the debian/patches directory. This moves us one step forward on building the package, when calling "debuild". I still have to verify whether the resulting build produces the binaries that are expected...
