Hi Andreas,
Following on the topic of how to make VistA easily
available to new developers, we mentioned earlier
that it will be really helpful to now package EWD.
EWD is a system that provides a Web development
environment that talks to a MUMPS backend.

We just have a conversation with Rob Tweed who
is the main developer upstream; and laid out a
basic plan to proceed with the packaging.
The dependencies for EWD will be:
fis-gtm
apache
nodejs
The system is composed of a collection of .m
files, so we anticipate that the packaging will
be similar to what has been done for VistA,
although a lot lighter.
Once EWD is available, we will have a very nifty
environment for developers to work on applications
that combine a Web based front end, with power
of VistA/M as a backend.
