Several packages have this now.

  opts="uversionmangle=s/$/+dfsg/" 

should do the trick.  If this is not what you are looking for I need
more information.  This will end up in a lintian warning but it can
be considered as false positive.

In any case make sure you are using the latest devscripts from unstable.
