Hello debian-med, I have been a long time follower, and have just added my first ITP for an opensource project I work on, OpenSurgSim. I have been following the documentation, but I am sure I will have many questions about packaging. I have helped a bit in the past with ITK, so this isn't all new.
First of, does this project fit debian-med? It is similar to SOFA, which I see is a currently a debian-med package, in the Imaging task (sofa-apps). Second, I have started creating the package, using git-buildpackage, and would like to push it so others can help me out? I see that the documentation has instructions for running "setup-repository" on git.debian.org. I have an Alioth account, is this what I should do? Finally, would this effort be a good candidate for a MoM? -Paul -------- Forwarded Message -------- > From: Paul Novotny <[email protected]> > Reply-to: Paul Novotny <[email protected]>, [email protected] > To: Debian Bug Tracking System <[email protected]> > Subject: Bug#775753: ITP: opensurgsim -- A free platform for surgical > simulation > Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2015 11:09:23 -0500 > > Package: wnpp > Severity: wishlist > Owner: Paul Novotny <[email protected]> > > * Package name : opensurgsim > Version : 0.6.0 > Upstream Author : Paul Novotny <[email protected]> > * URL : http://www.opensurgsim.org/ > * License : Apache 2.0 > Programming Lang: C++ > Description : A free platform for surgical simulation > > OpenSurgSim is an open-source project dedicated to real-time surgical > simulation.
