I used to work around this when there was an SVN-html interface somehow revealing commit numbers (I think on Google-Code I had some success for this) - but its a weak hack. The other option is to watch upstream by a tall guy with sun glasses wearing a big club and make them do proper releases. :-) Since in our case upstream was quite responsive it might be helpful to point upstream to https://wiki.debian.org/UpstreamGuide#Tarballs Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de
