As long as either version is in the archive, this is just fine.
2) Should this have a Breaks+Replaces on r-cran-gprofiler?
Yes.
3) Since we are pretty close to a release, would it be a better idea to upload
it to NEW post release?
I do not see why not both could be submitted together. The version that
pigx-rnaseq depends on should be in.
