I did a few changes, all commits should be self explanatory.
Only bit of an _ugly change_ I had to do was to pick upstream files and add it 
as in d/tests because these were not
vendored with pypi, and github repo does not tag releases.

Since this definitely is some machine learning tool, deeplearning team is a 
better fit for this one

deep learning team sounds best. However you might want to send in an email to
