Now you all know the trick to get bug #2000000. ;-)

While that is definitely awesome, but the fix unfortunately is wrong, or
insufficient to put it better. The code _needs_ to be _ported_ to the new API.

Bas has the same opinion, see here[1] and the bug has been reopened.
