I'm sorry there is an ongoing maintenance on salsa and could not
fetch your work right now, so I cannot comment about your
piuparts issue, but I thought I would comment on the blhc:

The blhc(1) manual has a section named "FALSE POSITIVES" which
documents how to use the ignore-line-regexp string in your build
log.  You could use it right before running the dh_auto_test in
order to avoid tripping blhc during execution of the test suite.
You may find examples of this in packages like edfbrowser or
parasail; while Salsa is under maintenance, you may get their
source with `apt source`.
