Ok, here's a slightly better version. This tarball also includes a debian/
directory so you can make this a package.
Andreas, you can take this and do what you like. I don't have time to
maintain it, so you're more than welcome to take this package as is and
change/modify or whatever to make it suitable for inclusion in the
archive.
