  I don't know how mailman web interface is configured.

  With sympa, you just have to give the web alias for accessing
  images.

  For example:

  .wwsympa.conf:

  icons /wwsicons

  .httpd.conf: (or srm.conf)

  Alias /wwsicons /usr/share/sympa/icons

  And that's it. Now, you can access to icons through
  http://localhost/wwsicons
