Wine's current numbering scheme is 0.0.20010824-1, where 20010824 is the upstream
release
date, and -1 is the debian revision number. As far as I know, if wine ever changes
over to a
major.minor versioning scheme, this should be a seamless transition without the need
for
epochs.
