Is the UnixODBC.pm mentioned in your sig the package in question? As the maintainer of UnixODBC for Debian, I might be persuaded to sponsor or maintain such a package; but I'm not exactly clear on what advantages this module provides over the more widely used DBD/DBI interface. Are there ODBC modules available for GNU/Linux systems for RDBMS that can't be accessed through DBD?
