the package as is is a no-no. lots of useless stuff in packaging, incomplete copyright, wrong VCS-Git field (and missing repo), debhelper 9 instead of 10, missing package description, rules file that should be fixed (don't call autogen.sh but fix autoreconf to do its job correctly). If you want your package in Debian, try fixing lintian first, open an ITP bug, get in touch with pkg-gnome team, and come back with a more suitable package.
