Please fix the lintian warnings. Don't put the upstream changelog into the debian/changelog entry. You should always use -1 as a debian revision for the initial upload. make distclean should be in a dh_auto_clean override, not dh_clean one. dpkg-source --commit in override_dh_clean is VERY wrong. Related to the previous, your patch is wrong too. Please remove commented out sample lines from debian/rules. dh_auto_test should already run make check. Please switch to the debhelper compat level 10. Please bump Standards-Version to the current version. Please don't use versioned deps/build-deps for versions already in oldstable.
