Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: important
Hi mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "mlucas"
* Package name : mlucas
Version : 17.1-3
Upstream Author : Ernst W. Mayer <[email protected]>
* URL : <https://www.mersenneforum.org/mayer/README.html>
* License : GPL-2+
Section : math
It builds those binary packages:
mlucas - program to perform Lucas-Lehmer test on a Mersenne number
To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:
https://mentors.debian.net/package/mlucas
Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/mlucas/mlucas_17.1-3.dsc
More information about mlucas can be obtained from
https://www.mersenneforum.org/mayer/README.html.
Changes since the last upload:
mlucas (17.1-3) unstable; urgency=medium
* RC bug fix release (Closes: #920835), fix missing binary name in wrapper
script and undefined macro error in powerpc build.
* Add architecture hurd-i386.

Additional info
===============
As I've mentioned in <https://bugs.debian.org/920835>, there's in fact
still bug to be fixed, namely the SIMD binaries in i386 and arm64
segfault when being run. Luckily, there's a fallback generic c
binary. It is slower, but it should work.
I also add the new arch hurd-i386 since it is supported (but hasn't been
tested yet).
Cheers,
Alex

Hmm, I did run the build of -2 on both a new Skylake and an ancient Phenom 2
(no SSE4.2), and it passed whatever (sub?)set of testsuite is run during a
regular package build. Same on a RK3399 (took 5h 37m 55s but succeeded).
Uploaded -3.
