Looks good -- in NEW.
My comments for the mandatory -2 (you need to make another upload once
ACCEPTed):
* README.Debian might be cute but it's pointless. No one cares that it's
your first package, only about quality -- and that is okay.
* the Makefile doesn't pass through LDFLAGS nor CPPFLAGS to the compiler.
You'd need to take what dpkg-buildflags say and get it through in some
way.
