Hi!
Unfortunately, the package ships only a .service but no init script,
preventing it from working with any init other than systemd. While
systemd is currently the default on Debian, we support more (sysvinit,
openrc, runit, container-specific ones); init scripts work on all.
But, that's a concern for -2. I've uploaded -1 to NEW as-is.
