The current version of the package is unusable with kernel packages with version 6.6.3-1~exp1 or greater, because it does not support compressed modules. This NMU contains a targeted fix to enable support for XZ compressed modules. I opened bug #1063142 6 days ago, so far without response from Christian Seiler, the maintainer. According to https://contributors.debian.org/contributor/chris_se/ Christian has not been active in Debian since 2021. That's why I decided to propose this NMU. The below VCS URL is no longer active.
