I would work on this after the freeze. My suggestion would be to open an MR with UNRELEASED and wait for a DD to be approved. It may be that by then the upstream will release more versions, but the current version is good to be inserted into trixie with fixes for segmentation faults and other fixes made by the upstream. I say it is currently in archive, no RC reported and what is in 0.29 may have some things that should be discussed with the release team.
