The normal way to request an RFS is to fill out the RFS application for
each package after uploading them to mentors.d.o. I don't think it's
wrong to personally write to a DD asking them to sponsor a package. I've
done this myself on occasion. However, writing to lists requesting to
sponsor packages without even providing a summary isn't a good idea.
I recommend continuing with the RFS and waiting... unless some DD
doesn't pay attention to the forms and you manage to get all your
packages sponsored through this way.
