I have just fixed the title of the bug on BTS and created a new email body to
explain what it's about. You can check the whole history of the bug on [1].
Also, you should have been notified by email of these changes, since you've
claimed ownership of the bug.

The ITP was first filled in 2013, a long time ago. It didn't move forward, was
considered abandoned and converted into a RFP by the Debian QA (2015),
reclaimed by the original author (2017), abandoned again and claimed by you now
(2025).

You can try to contact the original author of the failed attempt to package the
software (Peer Sommerlund <[email protected]>). However, it has been so
much time since his last contact that I don't think it would be much useful.
You'll have to start from the beginning.

You'll have to learn to do Debian packaging. :-D

Some references that will help you out:

https://www.debian.org/doc/devel-manuals#packaging-tutorial

Archi seems to be an interesting peace of software and well maintained
upstream. I think it would be good to have available in Debian.

Good luck! ;-)
