Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: important
<template>
Dear mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "tack":
* Package name : tack
Version : 1.11+20251210-1
Upstream contact : Thomas Dickey <[email protected]>
* URL : https://invisible-island.net/ncurses/tack.html
* License : GPL-2+
* Vcs : https://salsa.debian.org/joachim-guest/tack
Section : misc
The source builds the following binary packages:
tack - terminfo action checker
To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:
https://mentors.debian.net/package/tack/
Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:
dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/t/tack/tack_1.11+20251210-1.dsc
Changes since the last upload:
tack (1.11+20251210-1) unstable; urgency=medium
.
* New upstream snapshot.
- Build-fix: term.h no longer exports termios.h definitions
(Closes: #1122485).
* Update upstream signing key.
* Drop Rules-Requires-Root field from debian/control, redundant.
* Drop Priority field from debian/control, redundant.
* Bump Standards-Version to 4.7.3, no further changes needed.
* Update debian/copyright.
- Remove reference to the old FSF postal address, point at
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/ instead.
- Update years.
* Convert the watch files to version 5.
</template>
Some additional notes: the latest stable upstream release (1.11) of tack
does not contain a fix for the FTBFS bug #1122485, therefore I packaged
the latest snapshot instead. There are no reverse dependencies and very
few users of tack, so the risk should be low.
I have not yet finalized debian/changelog and tagged a release on Salsa
to prevent confusion in case additional modifications are needed. Will
do that once the package is accepted in the archive.
Cheers,
Sven
