Closing this RFS: libasyncns is now in unstable.
Andreas Tille (DD) kindly sponsored the package directly from Git on Salsa (
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/libasyncns). He uploaded version 0.8-8,
which was ACCEPTED into unstable on 2026-06-06 06:04 UTC, closing #862594,
#862596 and #1123614 (ITA). Before uploading he merged the changelog into a
single 0.8-8 entry, bumped d/watch to version 5, and added a lintian
override for a false positive; those commits and the debian/0.8-8 tag are
pushed to salsa.
Since the upload went through Salsa rather than the dput/mentors path, this
sponsorship-request bug was not closed automatically, so I am closing it
manually. Thanks to Andreas for the sponsorship and the review.
