Thanks for the quick review! I've uploaded slat 0.2.1-1 to mentors with
these changes:
- debian/slat.1 is gone: the man page now lives upstream (slat.1 in the
0.2.1 release) and is installed from there.
- debian/copyright now matches LICENSE ("2025 noturbob"), with my real
name moved to a Comment: field.
- debian/watch uses version 5 and tracks the upstream git tags
(Mode: git); uscan fetches 0.2.1 with it.
- The Depends: field is dropped (and Static-Built-Using:, which compat 14
also fills in; lintian still shows an info-level
missing-static-built-using-field-for-golang-package, but the built
.deb has the field).
- Added debian/salsa-ci.yml and debian/gbp.conf (DEP-14, debian/sid).
- Maintainer is now the Debian Go Packaging Team, with me as Uploader,
and Vcs-* point to salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/slat.
It builds in a clean unstable chroot, its test suite passes, and lintian
from unstable reports no errors or warnings. The mentors page shows a few
warnings (debhelper-but-no-misc-depends, missing-debian-watch-file-standard,
recommended-field Priority, compat 14 experimental); as far as I can tell
those come from the older lintian on mentors, which predates compat 14
and watch v5.
About Salsa: I registered an account, which is waiting for admin
approval. Once it's approved, could you (or another go-team member)
create go-team/packages/slat or give me access so I can push the
packaging there? Until then it's in a local git repo, ready to push.
