That file recommends some best practices.
You have to check what cdbs does (which is copy the autotools-dev
files iirc) and compare that with what you do and the best practice.
But if I had to recommend something now: Let cdbs handle the
config.guess/sub. If thats suboptimal at least you will be in good
company. :)
