Create ~/.devscripts
Add:
DEBSIGN_KEYID="your_key_id"
I've also added:
DEBUILD_DPKG_BUILDPACKAGE_OPTS="-i -ICVS -I.svn"
Also export
export DEBEMAIL=your_email
from ~/.bashrc if you haven't already.
