according to http://www.telecom.gouv.fr/francais/activ/techno/crypto0698_5.htm the usage of cryptology for authetification, signature, integrity and non repudiation is free, the people distributting such product should make a simplified declaration. so since i am just using it, and just using it for signing the package and not for encrypting it it should be ok, at least i can use it with good conscience.
