Two questions, both related to an upload of 'libcompface' for ARM. - I have built some packages for the ARM architecture, and usually they are installed the day after I have uploaded them to master. One particular package has not been installed after 2-3 days. (libcompface).
I re-did the upload yesterday just to be sure I had gotten all files with it. I also checked in the Incoming directory. It's all still sitting there. Another package I uploaded after I re-uploaded this one is already installed. Should I assume something is wrong with the package? Would I have heard from someone about it? (Similar to the INSTALLED confirmation). - The 'debian-arm' distribution never had libc5; libc6 is the first libc available for it. The 'rules' file for libcompface builds both a libc5 and libc6 version. I did a binary-only build, but "faked" the libc5 portion, then removed the resulting binaries libcompface*.changes file, before doing the 'dupload'. (This may be a clue to why it was not installed, perhaps?) I noticed someone else had done the same for the 'alpha' architecture. Is it "acceptable" practise? Or should I do a port-specific condition in the 'rules' file to exclude libc5 builds for this architecture, then file a bug report to the source maintainer? -tor
