I have been doing alot of work on the packages that I'm going to maintain once my stuff is finished (new maintainer stuff that is) and lately I have been trying to get the gpg signing to work.
The questions I have are these: 1> I see alot of mention that Debian is moving from pgp to gpg for signing of packages and everything else. I see that there are already people moving in that direciton...ie there is a gpg key ring now. I also see code for it in the package building scripts. Is the gpg facilities working yet in full? ie, can one use gpg completely and it work within the Debian structure for packaging... 2> I use debuild to build my packages as it seems to do a pretty good job and is rather easy (all in one type of thign) when I run debuild -sgpg -pgpg it all finishes but when lintian runs I get this error E: imp_1.99.1.3-12_i386.changes: bad-distribution-in-changes-file Any ideas??? Is it that lintian doesn't have the code for properly handeling gpg yet? I know that if I have the gpg-idea and gpg-rsa packages installed I don't get that error...but then I can't verify my signature if I use those. (I just sent mail to debian-devel about that) Ivan -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ivan E. Moore II Rev.
