If you have no makefile then modify the rules file in order to not
launch make. And simply do what is needed, ie add a cp line for copying
the font file into the right directory.
But you'll need to learn how makefiles work nevertheless (the rules file
is a makefile), look at "info make" (or whatever info browser you like).
