I think debian-user would be more appropriate for this, I will answer anyway for the extra question I ask at the end of my e-mail.
> I have on 5.3 gig hd and have win98 on hda1 > I have an extended partition (hda2) > with 2 logical drives (hda5 & 6) > I am trying to use LILO as a multiple boot manager. > I think i understand how to configure th LILO.conf file, but i need to know > two things > > 1. what is the copy command? The shell command? It's "cp" you can read about it with "man cp" if you have the man-db package installed. > 2. what is a good editor? > "vi". If you need help with vi do a search on the web for a tutorial. If you're desperate you could use a more newbie-friendly editor like "joe". Whatever happened to vilearn? It doesn't seem to be packaged anywhere in Debian, it would be very handy for new users, it's just a script. Regards, Steve
