I notice that the LVM package for Debian is still using LVM 0.8i. I've emailed the maintainer listed in the package specs, [EMAIL PROTECTED], but have not yet received a response. Does this mean that the Debian LVM package has quietly become an orphan? If so, mind if I pick it up as a maintainer? (I would need to be sponsored to do so, it seems.)
Currently, I'm working out a couple bugs (and my own unfamiliarity
with creating packages) and should have lvm-0.8final-2 (yes, a weird
upstream version name) packaged and ready to go by the end of the
week, although I started from scratch rather than patching Tom's
upstream version (though, that's possible if required).
I do find LVM to be an *extremely* useful tool and would love to see
it as an up-to-date package in Debian. If I can help do this, I'd be
quite happy. ;-) Please consider sponsoring me.
