I did not find that explantion sufficient. It said do not use suidregister. It said read the manpage. The manpage says, do not use, conflict with suidmanager, read about suidregister(???) and dpkg-stateoverride. This made me think I have to use dpkg-stateoverride in the rules, that manpage confused me even more and it did not work in the package, or only once or whatever. Then it seemed, I do not need dpkg-stateoverride, maybe by same magice its added somewhere, or dpkg does everything now or...
It would be nice to give an example and to update dh-make NOT to use dh_suidregister in the sample rules. Christian
