Well, it's always easy to _file_ a bug. :-) But you're right to say that it would be hard to file a *useful* bug report. I'm not planning to file a bug. I don't know for sure whether it was the package tools, or whether I muddled up something by hand. I don't think I ever put anying in /usr/bin by hand. But I can't rule out me doing something stupid. So I thought I'd see if there were any known package tool problems in the past six months or so.
