Running lintian with the '-i' option, or filtering its output through lintian-info(1) will give more information about the message: $ echo "W: kcdlabel: binary-or-shlib-defines-rpath ./usr/bin/kcdlabel /usr/X11R6/lib" | lintian-info W: kcdlabel: binary-or-shlib-defines-rpath ./usr/bin/kcdlabel /usr/X11R6/lib N: N: The binary or shared library defines the `RPATH'.
