I adopted synopsis (http://synopsis.fresco.org), a source code documentation tool, especially suited for (but not limited to) creating documentation from python code. The package I created from the latest upstream version is available on mentors.debian.net (http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/synopsis).
