-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I'm packaging a simple library building a shared lib and a development package as usual. The -dev package depends on the one containing the shared library. Policy says that it is permitted in this situation to symlink documentation coming with the -dev package to the files installed by the shared library package. Is this true in the case of changelog.Debian.gz? lintian emits a warning (syntax-error-in-debian-changelog line 0 "found eof where expected first heading") while linda treats this an error (The package contains no changelog.Debian.) Anyway, does changelog.Debian.gz belong to the binary or the source package? In the latter case it would be reasonable to symlink changelog.Debian.gz. Thanks, - -- cc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFEwgvvGJRwVVqzMkMRAj/ZAJ0frqWvsSaHZhxnNlS/ZivNKB4oWwCeLDNq XYPRqWBQWGbBTc5g4ynKIbA= =zx97 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
