May I ask what is the rationale for this?  I know the fourth vesion
number usually indicates small fixes, many of which just typos, but
according to /usr/share/doc/debian-policy/upgrading-checklist.txt.gz
there is real policy changes in 3.7.2.2:

 3.7.2.2                        Oct 2006
      * Maintainer scripts must not be world writeable (up from a
        should to a must)                                         [6.1]
